Quantum Computing Setback.

Postby mvgulik » Sat Oct 02, 2021 4:55 pm

Not that Quantum Computing was going to be lifted out of its purely experimental phase any time soon.

But ... a seeming promising technique, topological qubits, has to be put back into its theoretical box.
(The theory is sound, the problem in on the practical side of it, ... which was kinda overlooked in the related research (oops).)

Quantum computing is a cash cow for smart fraudsters. Merge computers with the human brain and mores law will be restored. Ethics stands in the way of progress.

Thanks for sharing this update on quantum computing. It's definitely a bummer to hear about the setback with topological qubits. It's not uncommon for promising techniques to hit roadblocks when transitioning from theory to practice.
