How to find other people for trading/socializing

I started playing this game a few weeks ago this world, how can I find other people playing as well?

Around my place there are 0 active people, I've found one village but looks like no one is playing there. A lot of abandoned places. Description of the game says it's mmo rpg.
Where are people then, how can I get into common trade place, how can I meet other people to do something together?

It says on the main website there are 200 players online, but where they are (I want to mine with someone from other village, hunt with someone from other village etc.) The world is so insanely big to find other players without autistic looking for them. idk

Is this supposed to be solo game when I spend all the time inside my palisade?

Best suggest is to browse the Dwarves & Thieves category for any villages currently recruiting or to post there yourself if you want to join an active village.

Currently, the game is in a "slow" phase--there's only about 100-200 people online at any given time. The size of the world is big enough for about 10-15x that number, so yes, it's going to feel pretty empty right now. That's a good thing for new folks, as it gives new players a bit of time to get used to the different mechanics of the game without the pressure a high player count brings--theft, vandalism, and murder.
