w14 goals

Postby Tubby_Squirrel » Thu Aug 11, 2022 7:01 am

So for W14 I am setting some pretty high goals compared to other worlds.

*Firstly I want to place a tower! I've helped my village build one in past worlds but I want to place and build one mostly solo.[/*]
*I want to collect all animal specific gear!
*I want to have a stat or attribute above 500. (If the top players can obtain over 4k then SURELY I can manage 500, right?)
*I'd also like to reach an INT level where mental wight is a non-issue. I have never had an int score that high.
*And depending on the compliance of my village, I want to do whaling this world! The highest up the food chain I've ever been was hunting bears with medium-ish injuries.

Bears are already pretty cool, I think the last I could manage was... a fox.

My goal this time is to complete the Herder credo and be useful to the community I joined. I used to play with three other people (for two months) and it was not fun, because nobody cared about the other, we just happened to share palisades and a roof above us.

I have no idea how to even get started on Herder, though... I assume I will try to do Forager -> Farmer -> Nomad -> Herder route, and hope that I don't get "visit a tree 9 kilometres from your current location" quests over and over again.

My goal is to build a village after the blueprint I have worked on for a really long time and create an economy based system with it.
It is a village that will focus more on mass production than quality, people will be able to rent houses and plots, buy cheap food, curios, materials,
while earning money by collecting various resources.

To boost the economy I will mass-produce silk as our main trade and hopefully build some good relationships with it.

This will be my first real try on managing a village outside the building and planning phase, so I expect the road to be a bumpy one.
I am super thrilled for finally being able to build and test it, even if it will most likely fail on this first attempt.

always wanted to do a minimalist village where everything is compartmentalized, mostly trees and buildings visible

always endup with a compact nest of stockpiles, boxes, items, structures, trees, logs, tools and vehicles, all in the same map

My goal for w14 is simply to get my farming as high as I can. I was on and off last world, got to 300ish.

since i'm some days off work cause covid (heh, i'm blessed by nurgle i guess), i'll be back in the new world and i'm thinking at doing a somehow RP character this time too, namely a warlock of sort!

I may take place near a swamp, or in a mound/cave or even on top of a mountain, and will play as preparing and bartering or selling healing items, alchemy and other witchcraft items like hearth magic curios, should be fun!

Also i may farm hemp/opium/tobacco maybe?

I am trying to figure how to raise the character, what credos and skills to take, and some more stuff like that, i may aim at mystic credo for base play and then see what else to do.

Any advice?

*Stay for more than 3 months. (Kids, hookers and blow drag me away)
*Tame all my own animals. (I get hand me downs)
*Not get knocked out by ants. (Skill or lag, I always get tko by ants at least once)
*Rebuild Candyland. (The single greatest village I have ever been a part of)
*Stay for more than 3 months. (Pornhub has a discount on blondes)
*Find iron close by instead of cave diving for days on end. (Like for real dude, where the fuck is the iron ore)
*Rebuild my mass silk production system that was on an 8 hour rotation. (I produced a shit town of semi ql silk)
*Not die to the Dev Gods.

Ore distribution varies per region. You could have been in a region where iron ore is extremely scarce.
