Help Channel in main discord

Could we get a help, or new player channel, in the discord? Something to help newer players with issues they get, little tips we can provide, how to deal with a situation, how mechanics works, stuff like that. I think a community live-chat to help newer players or less experienced sprucecaps on discord would give a little interaction to help retain a few more players.

I'd be watching that channel on a separate monitor just to answer random questions, and I'm pretty sure other people would too.

Put a stickied post in the Inn and How Do I? linking the discord, explaining its purpose for people to see. I think it would help a lot.

There is no official Discord, but there is a discord where the devs lurk in. You can ask questions in the main channel and get answers, but to be honest I don't think that it's a good place to have a constructive conversation. Lots of trolls and edgelords with little moderation and they have a taste for sprucecap blood. There is another discord (one that touts moderation lol) that I think is better suited to getting help with the game. However, the moderated one is really dead lol. People just don't talk there much but you can get a pretty quick response. Those are your choices. You can also join a faction discord or jordancole's discord. These are also good places to get information, I've found.

But yeah, that would be nice. The game does have a steep learning curve that's ever-changing, so it's hard to look at info on the forums and know if it's still relevant or not without some prior knowledge.

Edit- I say there is no official discord but I would consider that to be the main HnH discord.

Also a protip: Search feature in Discord can be very useful

Both moderated haven channel and the one with devs in it has #wiki channel which was created for that purpose.
You just can ask any questions there, also check pins, often there's a lot of useful information.

The official discord channel is generally pretty helpful during times like a new world, but questions can be buried or ignored in the main chat, especially during busy times like a reset.

Every discord has its trolls and unhelpful people, but if you are polite and ask in the correct channel it is unlikely that you will go without receiving help anywhere.

There is a lot of trolling but if you can manage to go through, its quite helpful, even main chat. There is another thing to watch out, never display your location in discord, some gentlemen may pay you a visit.
