whats the advantage of a hermit having a village?

Just like what the title says!

I remember a time ago when you had a teleport function where you could teleport to village. I think that has been changed.

So going forward, what advantage is there in having a village for a hermit(less than 5 chars)

Village claim is bigger, can be extended by flags in any form or direction.
Village authority will be replenished by any character added to your village receiving learning points, not only your claim handler.

That's basically it for a single player.

Also, no claim in your study and you can expand your VClaim under your Village for each mine level.

You also have field authority manipulation, meaning you can give people special permission to do stuff on specific areas, with an item called Field CairnField Cairn
You can also build a charterstone, so you can spawn in new characters whiteout building a spawning beacon and people can teleport from thingwalls to your charterstone using the password you set for it.
