My journal through World 16

Journal entry 1.

Me and my friend worked hard and here is our progress.

First weekend we found an amazing cave that we secured. We had a little scuffle with a neighbour right next to our cave. But we managed to apply diplomacy and came to a truce even after they attacked our claim. Luck was on our side, we had settled in a large cave system with only one entrance and the ore was plentiful.

By Monday we had a palisade and a village idol up. We even managed to recruit our newest member, a newbie with great potential for the game. I am working hard to expand the village while they are collecting resources and working on their characters.

We have finished the first 4 village banner expansion and a mine hole have been made. Still need to be discover the riches it has, 2 bat guano piles are there and to our luck in a closed cave system with 2 large caves as well, it is amazing.

We are off to a good start with the village, no harassing from neighbours or any of the kind... so far. Our village is secure and the expansion is going smoothly. Once the next expansion is done we will try to recruit more people, as the resources will be locked behind a secured system.

Journal II
A lot have happened sins I wrote last time, our village have grown in size immensely, we are still 36 banners away from completion, so a long way to go. The inner parts are still incomplete as we have focused on terraforming and building out areas. Soon the the middle palisade will be up and it will give us some piece of mind.

We have been severely lacking in resources but the craziest thing happened, our closest neighbor was too close with his village to ours and stopped our expansion. I was devastated, my village plans are great but not flexible at all. So I was considering 3 options.... 1. Pay raiders to motivate him to move away, or killing him and removing his banners forcefully. Or 2. Just talk with him, maybe pay him to move, which i did not really see as an option as he was very established. Or option 3. Ask him to join me.

I explained to him that his village was in the way of my plans, he was surprisingly very understanding, I showed him around my village, showed him my blue prints for the village and we talked for a while and I managed to convince him to take down his own village and let me absorb his village and recruit him in, condition that his village will be his private area. Now I have an amazing miner, smith and hunter all in one. With his help the village development have skyrocketed, new tools, better quality, animals and he is really eager to help. I could not wish for anyone better.

I also found a naked hobo in the forest, he is a new steam player learning the game, so i offered him a place to stay and food for helping around. I did not expect much of him but holy hell, he have destroyed the forest around us like a pro, he made farms, he digged like a madman. He has been a tremendous help with terraforming the surrounding. Slowly but surely I am getting a proper village, design just the way I wanted it.

We had one more guy, but he left us after a while, I have had some problems at home and could not play as much as I wanted. So I am not mad he left us.

We are moving forward nicely, but I do really miss playing with my friend I started playing with, Hope you are doing okay.
