No pumpkins

I've been searching diligently, and going through vortexes to get to more territory where I collect a sample of every patch of wild gourds I find, and pick every www I find - but I have yet to get either pumpkins or pepper.

I need to harvest 25 pumpkins for farming credo. I just want to check before I keep doing all these three hour expeditions - other people HAVE got pumpkins in this world, right? I'm just unlucky, or too slow off the mark, right?

Yes, I have pumpkins. A neighbour traded me the seeds, getting a complete set of crops is much easier if you know your neighbours.
