What stats do people realistically have by now?

Postby Nicstar543 » Sun Apr 06, 2025 11:36 pm

My brother and I recently started playing again a month ago after many years, and got lucky with an unclaimed base and got a ton of food/curios/metals. We're sitting around 600str, 300 agi, 300 con each. 250 each unarmed and melee combat. We thought we'd at least be able to survive a lone ganker but he was playing solo the other day and got ran down by a dude using only quick barrage and opening his red 30% at a time which seems insane to me. my brother got 28 damage off with a Q 260 cutblade, while the dude did over 3k to him and his armor.

Is there even a point to playing? It's wild to come back to this game after several years and see that combat is still complete shit for anyone other than faction PvPers. realistically what are their stats looking like to where quick barrage is dealing 30% openings? when we spar we're sitting at maybe 7-8% opening with it on eachother.

There have been people with 3k stats for weeks. The feasting/quality/industry/etc systems make it impossible to maintain top-level stats without endless amounts of hours.

There are some real try-harding nerds out here. There is a silver lining though that the first 300 con count for way more hit points than the next 300. The more they grind the more diminishing returns. With equalization I would suggest that instead of a hybrid ua/mc build, just pump mc and run shield up until you 'catch up.' The higher their skill the more expensive it is for them to increase.

It's unfortunate that we don't have a soft or hard cap on stats. It would be nice to 'finish'' a character.

3k-4k attributes is probably around where the top end is, but the overwhelming majority of people you'll run into will be much lower. You will probably not beat anybody in that stat range in a 'fair' fight, but even if you're less skilled you should be able to escape them pretty consistently.

You're right about 250 MC/UA being too low to fight tryhards, but you're wrong about the extent. To get opened even 20 or so with quick barrage would require like 5,000 MC, which nobody has anything close to. You'll be fine around 500-800 green MC. It's kinda hard to tell without seeing it, but I think there's a good chance from your description you just made some mistakes in a winnable fight.

Don't be discouraged. I've been running around on chars with lower stats than yours and winning pretty much every fight for months now. It's hard to get that initial experience, but unless your goal is strictly to be the strongest person on the server the rate at which you're gaining stats is more than enough.

We actually live near Balls Bay lol, I think it was one of yours that got my brother, he just died last night from accidentally eating pepper while healing so we’re probably just gonna quit.

It's been proven time and time over again that top stats don't make you automatically good at combat/win fights. More valuable is to just get experience in combat instead of sitting behind walls and doing the repetitive routine of quality grinding, making food and hunting and I hate this playstyle. Maybe someone likes watching the numbers go up and take L's in fights vs less statted People anyway, idk but then again whats the point of grinding stats if it doesn't help you win fights anyway.

There's tons of "PvPers" that actually forget the part where stats and quality don't matter until you have gotten somewhat decent at combat and if you can work good in a part of a group. Sure, it sucks that it sets you back stat wise if you spend most of your play time looking for fights or messing around instead of sitting in your village and grinding especially if you have irl responsibilities and have to choose to do 1 or the other.

How can it be expected for anyone to even learn combat if every fighting opportunity is a slaughter one way? If I ran up to a farmer he’s not gonna fight back, most likely run. If someone runs up on me I’m most likely dead in 10 seconds. I can spar my brother but we’re not really learning anything

Yeah that is true, this is not possible for many and tbh sounds stupid but only way is having a friend or making a friend from a PvP group and joining with them for fights at any opportunity. Joining a well established village that is doing recruitment and has some ties with a PvP group can help also if you're not scum. Otherwise you will just get absolutely wrekd every fight, demotivated and quit without any real learning if you are not friends with a experienced PvP group. I don't see ever it being possible for a single village to be relevant in PvP anyhow because of how the game works, all of the PvP groups are branches / split offs of some earlier other groups spanning years that have recruited only friends or trusted people through alliances and whatnot. For randoms something like WB would been a good starting point, but the leadership and some people was ass that made everyone to hate them, if it wasn't for that they maybe could got somewhat relevant at some point if they could survive through all the initial L's

I feel like 99% of players you meet could be KOd by just spamming puch with a 100 stat alt, of course that's not really pvp experience. At this point into this world the few people that will pvp you back will either be titans, possibly one of the ones who wait until everyone quits so they can start to play, or like snail that has combat stats you could realistically get in a month with current qualities.

Considering I believe most "titans" to have 1k ua or mc by now pretty easily, if not slightly higher you'd need around 500-600 ua/mc green to not get doubled. Your str is fine, but your agi and con are lacking which are quite easy to get to 500 in a month or so just from smoked sausages. Throw in cheese, spicy salads, etc you should be able to get 500 attributes in no time if you have everything setup to make good food.

A good way to get some practice though is just learning how to run away from someone and what to do when you're being chased.
You can practice this yourselves a bit by having one of you chase the other and if you can lose agro and teleport away successfully then you're probably doing something right. Every encounter shouldn't necessarily end in death, possibly just a KO but not death every time.
