You're probably not going to see this since you're leaving, but...

Very likely not a cheater. I'd love to see your palisade gates and your general setup.

Were you using Visitor gates (you should)? Normal gates won't protect you if left open. Doubly so if you don't put a lock on it.
Was your claim not expired (you can right-click your claim totem to check that)?
Did your claim cover the whole of your base?
Do you have a minehole not protected by palisade and a visitor gate?
