Use https://web.archive.org/web/20240519073 ... odgar.com/ as a backup.

Also Cloudflare can block certain countries. I block places like Singapore and China as a lot of hacks come from those sites.

Other than region-block, it is (at least theoretically) possible that for no fault of his own, he's been assigned a "tainted" IP address that was previously used by bad actors, and was added to the Cloudflare blacklist.

I remember someone claiming that they're blocked from like half the internet, for no fault of their own, because this happened to them.

For IPv4, this pool is 32-bits (232) in size and contains 4,294,967,296 IPv4 addresses.

"Top-level exhaustion" of that pool occurred as early as 2011. Regular growth of Internet users and Internet of Things (IoT) boom have only continued since. That is why IPv6 is a thing, expanding to a whopping 128-bit pool. Even then this pool is finite, and the possibility of being reassigned a "tainted" address remains, at least theoretically.
The most actively maintained Haven and Hearth Wiki (Not guaranteed to be up-to-date with all w14 changes.)

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong) (I recommend you read it in it's entirety, but TL:;DR: Build a Palisade.)

True. But in such a case it should be possible, for both parties, to change there IP address again. (I did that one's a long time ago when it was given some semi-bad IP address.)
Going a step further could potentially be mac-address tracking/blocking, but baddies usually can change or spoof those too.

At some point there is just no point for a personal hosted site to spent time in figuring out who is good, or a baddie that's pretending to be a innocent goody. (it just not economical ... which is the world we live in now a days last I checked.)

Internet allows for all this shit at its core level. Potential negative side effect at the end-user are just an other typical "Tragedy of the commons" result. ... Get used to it.

... Be happy your still have internet / energy / free from persecution / a world to live in ... it might change at some point at the planet of the Human-Apes/(Voting Cattle). ...

Only Spiff or Cloudflare known this. I don't.

(Don't really care knowing this either. Considering Russia being ruled by a true baddy.)

I never said, or inferred, that "you" where a baddy. I just expressed my opinion on the subjective possibility of a potential general block of known Russian IP addresses.

Cool, got an other one.
