How do I disable all default shortcut settings?

I'm a Steam player and not very familiar with installing clients. If I install and set everything up, will it stop working when I return to playing on the Steam client?

Thank you for your recommendation. I tried out a client earlier. I thought that after uninstalling this client and installing another one, my reset keybind settings would remain, but they didn’t. Using this client caused me more inconvenience, so I’ve decided to go back to using Ender Client.

Nightdawg made it so that his client uses a specific folder for its settings, alternative would be chaos.

To put ourselves on the same page, are you referring to keybinds like:

Build > Containers > Barrels & Casks > Barrel
Craft > Clothes & Equipment > Vessels & Liquids > Bucket


Those are usually the problematic ones, as people type and their cursors "escapes" for often nonsensical reasons which causes keyboard inputs to browse through the "action menu" without any feedback that this is happening, instead of the text going into the chatbox.

You had this problem with vanilla/Ender? The keybinds for various windows (Character Sheet, Equipment, Buddy List) shouldn't be a problem since they're all under Control+Something.

Have you somehow found a way to disable a specific adventure menu path, and have been doing that individually for every single one?

I don't know if you still have an issue with this, but I discovered a way to handle this in Ender (should also work in vanilla I assume, but I haven't tested).

Options > Widget shortcuts > Bind other elements... and then choose one of the buttons in the topmost action menu category


after selecting one, press the 'Delete' button on your keyboard - it should remove the keybind. Once you do that, the 'Bind other elements...' should change from 'Press key...' to 'Click another element...' - keep removing the keybinds till you're happy.

Buttons with a keybind have it shown in orange like so:


Meanwhile a button w/o a shortcut should be completely white:


No need to repeat this for buttons inside the top-level categories, since you probably shouldn't enter them by accident once you remove the keybinds for categories themselves.
