Play on work computer

Hello all.

I can download the client, and run it on my work computer. It will show stats like how many is online and that the server is up, but when I try to log in, I quickly get a "connect timed out".

I use the company wi-fi and VPN. If i try to connect using a hotspot, I cannot access the internet without logging into the VPN, so that does not work.

Anyone know of any work arounds?

Most corporate VPNs restrict non-work traffic. You can try one of these options:

Run the client from a personal device not connected to the VPN.

Use your phone’s hotspot without connecting the VPN (if company policy allows).

Ask your IT department if the game’s ports can be whitelisted (though this is rarely approved).

Otherwise, there’s no safe workaround that complies with company network policies.

I think your best chance is to show the game to the IT guy and convince them to play as well.
There's a good chance they are nerds too, and might get hooked! If so, they will start playing in the office as well, and you'll be able to connect through the VPN no problem

It seems like your company VPN is blocking all non-work traffic. Unless you can detach your personal device from the VPN, you’re pretty much out of luck — better stay home.
