anyone following your advise here is not going to have any kind of enjoyment lol its a game, no need to be serious bout a game, let people play how they want dont tell them how they should. if your the type to make of someone new to a game and doesnt know basic stuff then your kinda a kunt. also not everyone playing the game is out to kill everyone, i have in the past few days in world 16, ran across atleast 10 diffrent players in my little starting area. no one bothers anyone, no one griefs. those that do are just assholes trying to ruin someones day cause they think thats fun. in the end its just a game, and i personally will play how i want not how some asshat thats played the game for years tells me i should. fuck you sir and your couch.

Just to add to this thread I wanted to share my bad set up that caused me to lose my base.






The attackers obtained the slave key to the regular gate on the left (marked in blue) and the visitor gate (marked in yellow) was left open.

They managed to open the regular gate after walking through the visitor gate, I was told by some of the people in the Discord channel this shouldn't normally be possible. It appears that by riding a horse they were able to do this though.

They then walked through the regular gate and destroyed everything I had. So I don't recommend this build here

What's the bug? Do they use the extended hitbox of the horse and a weird angle to touch the gate without having to pass through the vgate?

Yes. That's why you must also leave at least a tile between your visitor gate and the fence gate inside your base.

Could you rate this airlock please? This is my first palisade, I'm new and dont know much about intricacies. I have one regular gate turned in to escape bears, leading to metal locked stonehut with metal locked cellar. Everything else leading inside the claim is visitor gates.

Added a line about the W16.1 gate changes at the end, but since it generally is 100% helpful to totally new players I'm not sure what else to say, and I don't want to delete the old stuff yet because who knows what the future will bring.
