how does ua and mc affect restorations?

honestly this system is so unintuitive. i see no difference between 0 and 80 ua. it has no effect on defenses. only adds a little bit of dmg?

Only amount of points matter for amount of opening your are reducing with defensive move (each point increase something like 10% I think, so 5/5 Sidestep reducing 30% instead of 20%).

You still need UA/MC to make your stance stronger and recive less openings. If you have 1000 UA you will open Ant for 100% with one attack move, coz Ant has something like 5 UA and diference is 200 times.

from the guide: if I have 100 UA, my UA attacks will generate the same openings on someone with 50 UA, and someone with 200 UA.

thats so ridiculous lol

It's only works like this at PvP, to prevent "unfair stat grind"

Despite how unintuitive it is, it actually makes sense if you understand the system.

UA and MC work like agility, they are compared against your opponent's value(tho everyone uses agility, but MC and UA depends on what stance and attack move you are using.)

But colors are on your character, not in a combat between you and your current target. This means i can open colors on you that someone else can benefit from.

So it woudln't make sense that i could close colors faster, if i, for example, target a 10 ua 1 agi alt.

The exception to this is flex, because its both an attack move and a closer, so having high agility would make you close faster i think(higher UA won't make it close more), but it requires contact. Maybe watch it's moves also benefits from agi since it requires contact? I don't know tbh.

Basically
unarmed/melee combat skill = how fast someone increases openings, relative to the opponent's skill
agility = how fast someone can act, relative to the opponent's agility
Attack moves = increases openings, based on openings of the target (you add less % with every attack)
Restoration moves = reduces openings, this is based on how many openings you have (restoration at 100% would get you to 80%>64%>51%>41%; if you have low openings you're better off doing something else such as attacking)
Placing points into a move give a slight multiplier to the move's effect, or it's cooldown
Damage (red/yellow numbers that show up) is based on the move you're using, on how many relevant openings the target has, your strength or weapon damage and their armor.

That the result of a lot of ppl complaining about wat a chore it is to spend all ur time worrying about min maxing UA/MC and requiring 2nd char for all other skills

Its better than how it used to be at least, u don't need to stress about those stats as much for pvp. In pve it's works pretty much as u would ecpect
