Indeed, even if not exactly party arrow still even a little tip would be awesome, maybe something like tracking scents in old version. I'd be totally fine with that I can't spawn near friends and I have to walk as long as I'd at least know that I don't go in completly wrong direction. Becouse right now I'm not even sure if I'm actually getting closer or just wasting a lot of effort and resources only to make gap between us larger.

Ohh it's still a problem - intentional just means it's not a bug. Lots of my villagers in W7 brought along a brother or a friend to play, that's 1+1 possible subscription sales. They can't play together? That's 2 potential sales that have just been torpedoed before they even heard the pitch. From a business standpoint, that's a pretty large problem.
