This is the root problem of this game, this forum, this community, these developers, constant innuendo and gatekeeping. Every successful mmo in history has one thing in common, a dev team and player base that are intent on welcoming noobs. The noobs are cherished and nurtured by vets that want to keep the game viable because they love that game. Guides to the hardest parts of the game spring up on the forums and youtube because they want to see a healthy population. Any player made client is posted and adopted by anyone that pays attention. Updates are about new lands and dungeons and challenging content rather than a crop or bird or noise making device.

As it stands, this game is primarily influenced by less than 20 players who pump their numbers by alt posting to themselves. There are a couple of forum warriors who are suck-ups and see themselves as neutral caretakers of the game, but still wrap their tips in veiled clues. This situation is unlikely to be fixed because the truth is that the less than 20 has overall succeeded in drowning out the voices that actually care about a healthy fun game, and over the past couple of years the less than 20 has succeeded in co=opting the one or two neutral voices into, well, ball lickers.
