- Does perception affect ranged combat? Does range between shooter and target affect damage? Does more marksmanship means more damage or should I just match my bow quality? Video guides and wiki are conflicting.
I am not a professional bow hunter nor ranged pvper, but i do know that both Perception and Marksmanship play a role in damage, as the PER and MMS of the archer is compared against the AGI and MMS of their target to determine damage. I don't know if PER or MMS can augment damage, or only serve to lower it if you don't have enough, but you could probably test that in Valhalla, at least in regards to PvP. I don't know if animals are affected the same way since it's debatable if animals have stats the same way hearthlings do.
I CAN tell you that the sling and hunters bow are extremely useful hunting implements early game, much more so than years prior, so do consider them.
- What's "Learning ability" and how much do I need to be worth the pursue?
For example is early game 2 white ring better than 2 darkroot rings?
Each point of Learning Ability is equal to +0.1% LP gain. So 100 Learning Ability is +10% to all LP you get. It's not worth it to try to spec into, no, just enjoy it if you happen to have it.
- At what satiety/hunger should I stop eating for maximum efficiency?
That's greatly debatable but unless you're really tryharding just don't let if fall very far below 200%.
- Do I need winemaking to plant and get grape seeds from primitive crops? What about pipeweed skill for pipeweed?
WWWs can give anyone any seed available in the world, but you need their corresponding skill to plant or harvest grapes or pipeweed. Keep in mind WWWs are not a normal forageable anymore, they only spawn once domesticated plants start getting grown.
- Can I paint a village banner after building it? Can I destroy a banner and rebuild it without affecting the village security
Never considered this one so don't know sorry
- At what mine level can I start finding silver, gold and sun stone?
3, 5, and 5 respectively, assuming it's not changed for 16.2. The wiki does document this.
- Wiki says max attribute for best gilding chance is 400. So is calculation for gildable clothes of multiple stats in the fomula addative or averaged. For example to max gilding chance for hunter shirt, do I need my sewing+survival+perception to be 400 total or 400 each?
This i also can't say for certain, sorry.
- Is there a way to switch animal aggro in coop hunts?
There are three ways to make an animal switch its focus; touch them, damage them, or shoot/throw something very close to them.
