At the risk of enabling OP... as a general tip, you should be able to Kin alts on the same account by simply using the Hearth Secret.

Alternatively, make sure both characters are logged out within close proximity. Open two clients. First log to one you want to memorize. Switch to second client and log on to your (same) account for instant logout/login. The first character should persist in the game world for long enough to memorize it by right-clicking.
