You can use ants to go fishing. Be careful though, I used an ant pupae on my pole and started fishing unaware that it would use it up as soon as i caught a fish and automatically reapply the next avaliable bait (in this case, solider ants)

Just dig, they're uncommon but you get quite a few.

Yeah, houses require all tiles they occupy to be level.

To uproot a tree stump go to your Adventure tab & click the destroy icon. You'll have a pickaxe crusor & then simply need to click on the stump.

(Bring water as it drains energy easily.)

Sadly your guess is as good as our guess at that currently. I'd imagine sleeping & keeping your character fed would be the best bet currently.
