How can I find a string in Hafen? Is there any requirements based on PER*EXP or not?

Easiest way is to wander around the map checking out every blip that comes onto your minimap, but specifically look for a brown root/cone looking icon, which is taproot that can be used as string

just look on your minimap for the old inventory icon for it, it might also be that you just haven't found any, i found around 12 on a 15 min window then didn't found any for an hour.

or just get more exploration

Taproot looks the same on the minimap as it used to in-game. On the ground, it looks like a cluster of exposed tree roots, but in some areas, just the extra props can look like what should be a spindly taproot. The higher your PER and exploration, the more you see, and appears the old values are still the same.

get explore up to 4, look at mini map for brown pile of sticks looking icon. or a nettle.
