How do you catch rabbits now?

I'm feeling like I should just shoot them with a sling? Chasing seems like a dumb idea now.

if you are lucky you can chase them down on sprint speed

I've caught afew, look for the ones that stop running and just sit there, and hope your on a biome that lets you sprint for a reasonable amount of time. then right click on it, switch to sprint and you'll catch it.

they're a pain to catch. I caught one after attempting it with about 10 rabbits beforehand and it was only cause it got caught on a cliff that I managed to catch it

I've managed to catch quite a few on foot. You can walk up pretty close without them running. Also chasing them towards a fox for a little help is fun to.

I've caught some that got stock on deep water, similar to how you'd catch dragonflies caught in corners in H&H 1.0.

You have two options currently if you lack a bow or sling.

I. Crawl speed and try to capture them. Expect to waste some time on this.

II. Max speed chase in a grassland and hope you get lucky.

Best bet is to probably hope a fox kills one near you so you can collect the dead rabbit. Though don't expect to be able to always find it when you see this happen.

Sometimes I wait for a fox to kill it if one is near :3

I managed to catch quite a few in areas where you can use the fastest run speed. Just creep up close on them, check that your stamina is full, put sprint on and then just click the rabbit. You should be able to outrun them on the fastest option.
