2.5L of tar + sticks = tar sticks.

Apparently they can be used as fuel. Can't say more because I died shortly after discovering that one :P

Tar Sticks serve as thatching, they serve as fuel, and most useful, they serve as a ready made fire in your inventory. Think of it as compacting 5 sticks into one inventory space. Moderately handy.
