Can you channel water?

Like, through digging soil or surveying?

When I have tried digging next to water it has either done nothing or - not enough clearance to dig.

It would be pretty awesome if you could dig a moat around your property.

That'd be why it's not allowed I'm guessing. It'd be insanely powerful as a defense tool with no real counter without significant implementations.

It'd also nullify any use for wells and if you could create deep water it'd make hunting stupidly easy. The primary reason is probably that the engine can't handle it though.

It doesnt realy suit the time period either, it just wasnt one of the things that was done in dark age scandinavia, utilising already there water protection sure but they were not into the huge public dedication it takes to do that sort of work. The ancients did it, and later the christians, but the dark ages are the dark ages for a reason.

I know this doesnt mean much to mostnand its probably kust engine short comings as stated.
