How does everything about archery work?

Is the cone of fire reduced by having higher skill? What about perception?
What does bow+arrow quality do?
What is Damage determined by?
Is there a "chance to hit" once the arrow actually collides with someone?
What about arrow distance before hitting the ground

from what ive seen and seen in other forums it can range from Mm to bow/arrow Q

both of mine are low and i only hunt fox atm and ive had 3 fox not die in one hit so its like playing russion roulette :/ it feels to me
