Map import troubles

Postby Ancaladar » Sat Apr 03, 2021 9:41 pm

Trying to share a map with my friend, I imported their map file and it was no problem, worked like a charm. But when I tried to export my map to them, they couldn't import mine. Came up with this error message:

Any ideas?

It looks like your map export is partial, missing the end. Could you have copied it away before it was entirely done exporting, or gotten interrupted during transfer, or something like that?

Not to my knowledge, all I do is export the map file to a file on my desktop, upload to Discord for my friend to download, then they download it and try to import it to their map.

They're using Linux if that helps any.

Try to see if you can reimport your own map file or if that too errors out. If that works, then the problem should be guaranteed to be in the file transmission.

Shouldn't matter in any way whatsoever.

Oh, huh. It errors out with the same error code when I try to import my own file.. Nothing should be interrupting its export, though?

Bump. Any suggestions? I can't really troubleshoot this myself super effectively outside of suggestions from other people.

After seeing another problem, can you check if your "system" chat contains anything after trying to export the map?

Did any of those appear while exporting the map?

Only the top one, and only once. Same thing:
"mapfile warning: error when locating grid 675a0c3e96dd6e2b: java.io.FileNotFoundException: map/9c9a3e9b29a1363f/grid-675a0c3e96dd6e2b"
