I'm pretty sure there are lots of "competitive" players that are completely willing to share how they do almost everything. The issue is some retarded plebs will reee at Jorb super loudly for like a week straight. Jorb will try to fix it by making the specific strategy shown more annoying, while not actually fixing the underlying "problem" that a lot of people would argue isn't even a problem.

Then everybody has to come up with a new, more convoluted method to do the thing and the cycle repeats itself as a smaller number of people than before know how to do the thing

That may be also solution for things in hafen. If something is broken why not fix it? Big communities always will have men power to kill what they want anyway.

Troll: big group, let the troll chase people.
Mammoth: go look in the mountains, you'll see how.
Whale/Orca: JC posted a thread.

If they're "fixed", then they'll be gated to only be accessible to factions. Seems worse than the current system where at least everyone can participate.

Due to cheesing, PvE content is scaled so ridiculously beyond what's capable to do "fairly" that genuinely removing the cheese would simply lock off that content for most if not all of the world. Besides which, AI is meant to be beaten. The key is to making it beatable in a way that doesn't seem too crazy weird and is within an acceptable difficulty range for the frequency of the content.

Like right now, that "re-aggro" trick required to hunt almost at all for faster animals inland. Make it a hunter credo perk that animals won't run from you unless you peace first, but leave the current cheese method in. Difficulty is acceotably low. Players have a way to get what they need and no longer use cheese.

No clue how to fix the big PvE cheeses in a way that's satisfying though.
