I can't use a stinging poultice

at this point, if i dont know the cure for an wound i just assume it heals through leeches, i raise them passively, so wounds healing with them just dissapear eventually,

but i still forget at least one wound that can be healed by gauze, as gauze just has so many applyicable wounds.

When I grab the stinging poultice and click on the wound in the health & sounds window, I keep dropping the stinging poultice.

please tell me. how to use it.
