Quest Toads

Can someone explain to me why people build their camps around the quest toads?

Some don't even build a camp, they just build a palisade. It's quite annoying, but I imagine that might be the point.

Is it to draw players to their camp for positive or negative reasons? Or does it give some benefit?

Some like to kill questgivers, palicades are probably means to defend these from being chopped/chipped.

usually the toads spawn after you already settled
