About mound beds

how they works? I build 2 and added water, do i need to do anything else or they are already working? thannks in advance for the help

They have a radius that prevents the effect of winter around them for 3 weeks after being built, Im pretty sure adding water to it is pointless because you can't actually plant anything inside of it yet AFAIK. When winter actually hits they should prevent snow and crop withering within their radius.

You can plant stuff you plant in gardener put in mound bed but it will take longer to grow

Disregard what I previously said about not watering them, apparently they do need water if they haven't been watered already.

You only need to water beds if you want to plant any potable herb there, it works same as gardening pots
Otherwise they will warm surroundings without any water required.

i thought you could plant herbs in them?

Do they decay as garden pot on each use?
