Iron ore too rare?

I was mining on lvl9 for a month, and haven't found a single tile of bloodstone, and maybe about 20 tiles of magnetite in total so far. That 1 tile of magnetite, which spawned with nothing else around it, was the last straw. Is iron now even more rare than gold, or is it just me being unlucky?

Skill issue, obviously. Minerals are regional, just keep mining.
