Then make corner posts repairable. The fact that they are not is just another example of what I was saying regarding the disparity of power.

Its almost like raiding a village, pillaging or destroying hundreds of hours of work, and potentially driving paying customers from the game should involve a little effort and sacrifice on the part of the raiders. Happy fun town is going to spend hundreds of hours rebuilding if they do so at all. I really couldn't care less about the 12 hour time investment of raiders.

I would agree with you if there was an actual fight when people raid but thats not what happens. What happens is people start and complete a raid before anyone even knows they were there in a lot of cases, or its discovered so late no defense can be mounted. Because of this you only have to have one leveled character to act as the palibasher itself. Everyone else could be freshly minted alt as they are basically stevedores.

I see your point though. The idea is not to make raiding impossible, just to make it preventable with effort short of a brick wall. You know I might not even mind losing my base and starting it over again if I had a good fight and a experiance/story out of it. Whats the up side of just logging in to your devastated town after work one day? Wouldn't it be cool to load up your final fantasy game of 100+ hours to find Sephiroth had invaded your save file and murdered your party while you were sleeping? Oh well, I guess I'll start again. HOW FUN!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of someone losing their base in their sleep (I lost my first village in world 3 to russians jumping the brickwall with the crossroads glitch while I was in bed, which is just as sudden). But if you know the attack is possible, probably inevitable, and do nothing to prevent it, who is responsible? "Sephiroth" is a player too and he played hard to make it happen.

Yeah thats not true at all, I just got so distraught to wake up and see all of my animals dead, my house gone, the silk, the food. This raid hit me mostly since it was my stuff that was ruined. The rest of our village managed to take it a bit better.

Glad you liked the moat. That was also mine.

If you think that we arnt pissed off its cuz you cant even see any further than anger and not see how actual sadness looks like.
