I do not think this is somehow related to our Motherland. Rather, allying Ainran seems to backfire on everyone.

I think it has less to do with Ainran and more with being too smug and haughty; not to mention that, if the information here is accurate, antagonizing one or more factions and then going on vacation is a questionable move.
