You have already drawn from these waters

Postby Sephiron » Sun Dec 08, 2024 1:13 am

I purposefully settled in the mountains near headwaters in order to have a steady supply of spring water for gardening. When I first moved here a month ago, I grabbed some water just for the lulz (it was only like 1.0l) and dumped it because I knew I wasn't going to need any for a while and my survival was low

Every single time since then, I have not been able to collect any water from it because of the message "You have already drawn from these waters". So I wait a day. Same thing. 3 days. Same thing. 1 week. same thing. It has been a whole month and I still can't collect anything from it. I literally live here, I don't bot, I don't abuse local resources, this HAS to be a bug. Can someone please look into it?

If this is working as intended, then doesn't that defeat the whole point? I thought localized resources were meant to give a unique advantage to the locals who settle nearby- People who settled near windthrows get useful healing, they settle near clay pits to have higher quality clay, etc... Do I have to travel to another headwater to reset this? Actually? You couldn't find any better way to curb botting?

It's to prevent alts just sitting on the same localized resource. Not even botting, just dropping an alt and manually logging it is something people do.

You have to harvest from different localized resource nodes to unlock that one.

yep. thats how it works, you can never gather from the same local resource in a row.
either gather from another headwater in between, or touch a hearthleave once in a while.

its annoying. but it basically stopped saltbotting, after repeated nerfs to salt didnt manage to.

its a bit silly though that it works for headwaters.
