Can't destroy village banner

So I can't destroy this banner because of it's placement. I am taking over the ruins of this base, and their village idol is gone, and I have been able to destroy all of the village banners including on this level of the mine so far, except for this one. My guy is standing inside of it and I "can't reach it" basically. I am clicking on the banner trying to destroy it from every angle possible and it won't work. Is this some kind of bug? Is it one that is being exploited? Please help/fix. [https://imgur.com/ujfDh0Q]

Looks like the problem is simply the angle. Try approaching the banner from as directly opposite to the ladder as possible. If that doesn't work, it's FUBAR I'm afraid. (Without breaking the ladder.)

You can try building a Wrecking ball.

(If the previous banners didn't require you to stack directly on top of the banner, make sure you aren't actually clicking any of the Palisades or the Ladder with your Destroy cursor instead.)

Thanks, first time posting here, couldn't figure out the image thing.

So it is definitely the angle. But as I said, the placement of the banner is causing it to bug out, and cannot be destroyed no matter which angle you try it from. Trust me, I tried for a long time, every angle possible, and it didn't work. Was hoping to not have to build a wrecking ball. Who knows if that will even work. As far as I can tell, they did this on all of the different levels of the mine. A village banner right next to the ladder, and same thing for those ones, you cannot destroy them. Appears to me that this is clearly an exploit of a bug.

I am most likely just going to wait for their stuff to decay. Seems to be my only option apart from wrecking ball.
