alchemy effects subject to change on server restart

the server resets and alchemy effects change. not cool. plenty of examples from hamster, who goes thru the effort of openly documenting alchemy for all of us.

this is -not great-. figure it out. no one is going to want to interact with this system if alchemy roams like the animals do.

World Reset rerolling the "Alchemy Attributes" is intended. Accidentally causing the re-roll is obviously not cool, but I'm not really seeing the point of this thread? It's not something that should happen regularly. Even if Loftar doesn't address the underlying issue in the implementation, he is unlikely to touch the Attribute system in a such way again?

There could be a separate "Critique&Ideas" -thread about stuff like:
1. Should there be a reroll at all? and
2. when RNG aligns in such that a strong/useful Elixir is extremely easy to make (one world had a Concussion cure that you could make by simply combining two herbs, both trivial to acquire) - is this a good or a bad thing?

The point is, RNG is very retarded, and people waste time figuring out cool potions when they could simply completely ignore alchemy (which is what many gigachads already do), since they reset every world anyway.

So yeah, I guess it should be in C&I.

maybe I'm a big boo-boo know-nothing dumb boy, but isn't OP saying that the alchemy recipes changed when the server restarted and not when a world reset occurs? like, you have a bunch of crafting shit set up to get you a particular item to use in alchemy due to it's useful effect, and then "restarting server for update / bugfix / etc. back in 5 min" happens, and when it comes back that item has a new effect in alchemy?

That's how I understood OP's complaint. changing every world is bad enough, i agree with that.

"And you are saying this tooltip changed during this world?"

Yes, but it's...
1) Known issue
2) Unlikely to happen again
