Lynxes don't run away, and they don't show what attacks they

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time...

But without adding the statistics that let to the perceived observation ... anyone that know randomness a bit will probably think, "Yea sure. Lets wait until more posters complain about it".

Alternatively ... maybe, juuuust maybe, there is something in the game that has some affect on the Lynx behavior. (At this point the brain usually starts waving a white flag.)
It not like the dev's (Jorb mainly of course) spill many minor beans. Would kill the famous "Joy of Discovery" mantra.

Agreed. I'm considering a second option - that there's something causing them to change their behavior.
But:
1) It happened right after the update. It's no secret that developers like to break something by doing something. This is normal workflow.
2) The behavior changed very abruptly - to the exact opposite. Before the update, all the lynxes ran away when approached, their behavior reminiscent of "staying away from people." But after the update, they behave like wild boars - they don't care about anyone and all. Get too close and they'll attack.

And I didn't report this after the first incident. "One is an accident, two is a trend, three is a pattern."
The count reached 10. 10 out of 10 didn't run away.

Well, maybe, just maybe, jobr is sitting there in his dark damp and dirty little room giggling because he made it so lynxes don't run away at a moonless night and bears have a significantly higher chance of attacking a player at springtime and fucking badgers only attack when they walk eastwards and the goats follow you like wolves just about every time.

I was attacked by a stupid but tasty bear this spring, and a wild goat followed me while I was exploring the mountain, you see. So I am extrapolating.

1 lynx escaped.
(Probably one of the developers controlled it manually - there were never any lynxes there before.)

In that case I would start looking at two things.
1) The in-game day/time and moon phase. Although those are known to play some role in the game, there probably not the reason here. But mainly because there relative easy to rule out.
2) Experimenting with stealth level. Simply because that seems to make the most sense to have some potential effect in this case.

As comparison. I have not seen nor detected any flying behavior change with lynxes. So it looks to me like the issue is more likely player bound (which means its probably not a game issue, but a (generally unknown) feature).

I didn't pay attention to the time of day, but I think it was different every time.

This would be logical if not for one thing - I don't level up my stealth at all.

Perhaps. Thanks for the information. Observations from other players would have helped me quickly determine whether my observations were correct or simply a series of coincidences and a misguided conclusion.

+1 ran away, +1 didn't.
The one who didn't run away didn't show what attacks he was dealing or what gaps he was opening during the fight.
