Can't say I super mind. The stone thing was pseudo-unintentional anyway. Will consider the stone q generally.

So is gneiss considered slag now? What if it is mined gneiss?

I figured slag would have its own icon/item type, eh.

Gnessis is not a slag. You get gnessis after burn slag or ore in smelter.

There should be quality fields for stone, though. Surely not everyone is finding Q10 stone everywhere?

Not a bug, in any event. Stone left by ores is always the quality of the ore itself.

What should our sources for high quality stone be? I have yet to find it myself.

Quality nodes are incredibly rare compared to previous worlds.

In roughly 10 hours of prospect mining, I've found 2. Both of those nodes were <20 and only of a single quality type. I can't speak for lower levels of the world, but this is very different from legacy where stone quality could be harvested off surface mountain nodes and found at ~5x the rate mining wise as I've been finding.

L2 of the world also doesn't come with base Q20 anymore either.

By this stage of legacy most players would have Q30 or better axe. Right now most players are lucky to have a Q15 axe of one Q type, and I've heard of several settlements that don't even have that.

I guess I should consider myself lucky sitting on a Q15 axe then after finding some Q18 stone very soon after starting mining :D
