Identity Crisis

Howdy! I've gotten back into Hafen recently, and after a few minutes on the official client, I decided to try out Ender client in hopes of getting better performance. I went to log in on Ender, and instead of my full account name (DafyddapDafydd), the username box just gave me 'Dafydd'. I thought nothing of this at first, because I just assumed that the whole name wouldn't fit into the box, and so I used my real account's password. I clicked on the 'Remember Me!' button, and I've been playing smoothly for a little less than a month now. The first sign that things were wrong was when I clicked the Account button on my forum account, and my playtime was negligible and neither of my characters showed up. The full weight of this didn't hit me until just recently, when I tried logging in as 'Dafydd' on Amber client, and the password that I had used on Ender and for my forum didn't work anymore. When I tried logging in with 'DafyddapDafydd', my password worked fine, but I restarted as a purple orb with no chars. Things got even weirder when I reopened Ender client and unclicked 'Remember Me!', and it wouldn't let me log in with the same password that I had used initially. I was able to log back in using the remembered character list in the top left (and was also able to use my real account name and password to start as an orb), but I am still confused as to how this was able to happen.

In summary, what I have accidentally been doing for the last month is playing on a fake account using a glitch in the custom clients (specifically Ender, but I assume that this might be possible for any custom client) that let me use my real password with a false name. Now that I've tried to switch clients, I cannot use my real name without restarting, and I cannot use my old false name for want of a functioning password/account. My game now has selective amnesia and multiple identities; it can tell who I am when I call back its weird and jumbled memories from long ago, but it can't recognize who I am right now. It can either be a trained killer living alone or a harmless noob with no past and no identity. Perhaps my Hafen is Jason Bourne.

TBH though, I have absolutely no real theory on why or how this happened. Any advice or thoughts?
Also, is there any way to get my characters from the false account transferred to my 'real' one?

I'm not sure what you have managed to accomplish. There is an account Daffyd.

I really don't have a clue either. It doesn't show up when I search the forums list, and like I said, the password doesn't work for the accidental account. I'll continue this discussion via PM, but if anyone else has ideas, feel free to contribute.

Since Dafydd is older than DafyddapDafydd, you must surely have been using it to play previously, and had that account saved in Ender's client, quite simply.

That explains a lot, thanks. I didn't know you could do that. If you don't mind asking, could you give the dates that each was created?
