Having issues connecting to servers.

So, here is my story, my game was working fine untill the day before yesterday (21/10) but when i tried to login yesterday (22/10) sometimes my game wouldn't open, and others it would crash while loading the map. I took it to the forums and tried what's said in the pinned thread, i reinstalled my drivers and it didn't work, then i reinstalled the java, tried that with both versions (one at a time) and still didnt work. Then i decided i should reinstall hafen and now it just won't download the game anymore. So I started wondering if its a problem with me connecting to the servers and then i noticed it didn't leave a crashdump behind but when i went into the "details" section of the error message i found this(in the oficial launcher):

Now, i'm not a genius but it seems to me that it's a problem with me connecting with the servers (specially since i had to rewrite this 2 times because i couldn't connect with the page) but my internet seems fine, it's not stuttering or anything and i double checked it in my router page. I even restarted it to see if it would help. Well, that's it, i hope someone can help me out 'cause i really tried all i thought up before posting. Thanks.(I'm from brazil btw).

Edit: I forgot to state my pc specs.
Windows 7 x64 -OS
Phenom II X6 1090T -CPU
Radeon R9 380 -VGA

Could be intermittend routing problem from you to the server, to test that theory: viewtopic.php?p=625105#p625105

I have 0 packet loss and 280ms, feels pretty normal.

EDIT: Well, i have no idea, i' ve done that multiple times now and the packet loss is always 0-2% and 270-280 MS. It looks pretty ok to me since i live far away from the host, but on the downside that leaves me with no clue to what may have happened. The only thing that makes it to mind is that i recently updated my java, but i played normally afterwards and it was only yesterday that my game started to behave weird, despite nothing changing on my software.

Well, based on the exception you posted, it is quite clear that it is some kind of network issue. It should be said that even if singular, isolated pings work, it could be a completely different thing when the link is under heavier load like during downloading. That being said, though, the connection timing out seems indicative that it isn't even getting the SYN packets through, so I can't immediately think of any obvious difference there.

Is the forum working normally for you? No connection issues on the website? Is it only via Java that the connections fail? Can you download the Jar files via the browser?

The Jar URLs are:

That's right, the forum is normal now (it was a bit weird before) but the game still doesn't connect. I downloaded the jar files with the browser but i don't know what to do with them.

Edit: I changed my router with some old one i had and the game still doesnt open. It may be the java, but i already reinstalled it multiple times. I'm pretty much clueless.

Ah, found it:

You have Java set up to use a proxy server (SOCKS) for some reason. Disable that and it should work.

That's odd, i never did that by myself and i even reinstalled java multiple times. Anyway i'll check into java settings how to undo that but i have no idea how to change it by myself. Can i have some help, please? Thanks for the help so far, really appreciate it. :)

https://www.java.com/en/download/help/proxy_setup.xml -- First hit on Google for "java proxy settings". ^^

And yes, it's odd, but I've seen prior cases of Java seemingly autonomously adopting some weird proxy settings. I've no idea what causes it.

I did that and came back to report that weirdly enough there wasnt any proxies being used, so i tried to open the game again and it just opened like nothing ever happened. I am really, really confused right now. Anyway, the game seems to be working again so i guess its fine. Thanks for all the help and attention, now i'll go harvest them crops and forage some curios. :D

Never hurts to do a scan of your computer for issues.

Installed any new software recently? Some things like to change settings in other software if access is available.
