So, obviously anyone that read my original post. I owe the devs an apology. I regret that my anger and frustration was vented in the manner I posted. Feeling helpless from being abused by others does not put one in a positive state of mind.
I am severely saddened by the responses I got from people though. I was crying out in anger, frustration and helplessness for help in understanding how it could be allowed
I looked for forum rules of conduct, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any, so verbal abuse seems to be allowed.
Now that I'm calm I still think there are a couple bugs.
1) it is not clearly stated what a "claim" is for. I assumed that it provided protection from anyone until they had researched trespassing... etc. In my experience, it does nothing but keep your items from despawning.
-- I will acquiesce that it could be read as implied when the wiki's only mention decay. In either case, this is not in-game anywhere.
2) requirements to build items such as "palisade" have no instructions at all. It was not and still isn't build-able for me at all. I've since discerned that this is because I probably haven't made one of the required materials with my new character (they had been done with 1 or more ancestors). However this is not stated ANYWHERE in game. How can I possibly know what I need to build, when the item won't even show in the list until you've discovered all the items (even if I have them in my inventory)?
3) tracking clearly doesn't work, or it's skill based, which again, what's the point unless you are intentionally letting people get away with "griefing". For those that don't know that that term means: griefing is allowing players to cause harm or harass other players.
So clearly some items are missing. I've learned a few things, some I can't do anything about.
Lastly, any further response that isn't constructive or on topic will be considered spamming, harassment or abuse and I ask that the Devs/Forum Moderators please take appropriate action.
I rebuilt this post in hopes that it could be turned into something productive for others, in the event that changes/corrections can be made.
