Can't tresspass

Postby RizzlaUK » Thu May 11, 2017 8:16 am

Logged an outlawed character on a claim another character owned and was too lazy to give myself rights, when logging back in and even hearthing (HF in same area, siege vault) I'm unable to move at all.

-Have Trespassing skill
-Criminal Acts is turned on (Tried turning it off and on again)

You have visitor debuff.

I'm aware but it was not an issue before the new push mechanics, have been logging the same outlaw character off inside the palisade and or hearthing inside and tresspassing fine for a few days.

Hearthing inside, sure.

But pretty sure if you got the debuff (walk through gate then close client) and then did not leave the claim (especially since HF is also inside this claim) at what point would you normally have lost the debuff?

I had a comparable situation last world and if I had cared to get the character back I would've needed to wait for auth to drain or siege it myself. Was stuck in a tower after it walked through a gate and logged off.

Not a bug on it's own I believe but maybe should be looked at :D

Pretty sure it would have been. I just tried it myself on an old copy of the code, and I can't find a way to trespass out with a visitor debuff there either.

That's a problem then, as visitor also denies bashing the own HF to force a wilderness spawn, IIRC.

Is there a good reason (that I might have missed prior the morning coffee) against disallowing HF build with visitor and clearing visitor on port to HF? Apart from outlawed disallowing logout (thus changing placement on login on a foreign claim won't happen) so you would have to sit out that debuff...

We need some way to break that deadlock.

@Loftar: would you be so kind to move all his characters into that situation so he can evaluate his sincerity?

Now that we left that particular derail behind us: any good ideas on how to deal with that situation?

What comes to my mind is to except portals in houses that lead toward the outside (cellar and downward stairs, inside doors) from visitor and clear the debuff on hearthing. This would enable to at least leave the house, possibly also the claim (in case of open gates should it be walled).
