character stuck

Postby Saganes2 » Sat Mar 02, 2019 11:54 am

I dont know if it is intendet or not, so i post it here.
My Hearthfire is inside a pclaim and the claim is surrounded by palisade.
The character isnt strong enough to break the Hearthfire.
So iam stuck.
Why do we need a minimum str to destroy our own hearthfire?
I cant get out of there and have to abbadon the character or is there a other way?

In case your character isn't strong enough to break his own fire: you have to either befriend the claim owner... or make a new character.

The reasoning behind new characters being unable to break their fires is that they shouldn't be able to hop around on the map, which they would (through blocking their logout position and do a new wilderness spawn) in case they were strong enough.

Granger, at the end of the 10th world, the destruction of one’s own hearthfire did not change the character’s position, as I recall.

If this is your claim, then get a new character or wait for the palisade to rot... if I understood the situation correctly.

You most likely need to make a new character.

Only case you can't login where you logged out (location being blocked by an object, being on foreign claim without rights) and you have no HF you get wilderness spawn. You can always login back to where you left while being on an unclaimed and free tile.

A player locked in someone's perimeter will not be able to simulate a similar situation, if I'm not mistaken. For example, even if you logged out, holding a large object (log, cupboard, wheelbarrow), then after login, the object will change its location, but not the player. This is a prison.

I'm patiently waiting for the people to start palisading in all the heartfires around them, far or near, just like they do with localized resources. Because it's a wonderful community.

As a rule of thumb, everything that makes life easyer and less boring/grinding for players is a great idea. Everything that makes the game harder is crap coming from sadistic tendencies of Jorbtar helped by the few players with the same kind of disorders.

Made wonderfult not by people such as yourself, who do not miss an opportunity to sarcastically imply that others aren't.

Yes, OP. That can happen. Not sure what the appropriate fix really is.

Why we still have such restrictions? What part of abuse to spawn somewhere in the wilderness? This probably was a problem in legacy, because of village idol teleport. But now what?
