Sound is laggy/stuttering

I do see lag in it self but the sound is basically half dead

win xp sp2
AMD hd radeon 4800
Realtek HD audio integrated with the P5QL-E motherboard
I'm also wearing a shirt always when playing ;-]

To give some feedback on this as well, I also experience it, and I've noticed that sound is only laggy when the game window is rendering. Minimize it and the sound works decently.

I can't believe this is not solved. I am still having SEVERE audio issues i've just been playing with no audio at this point which really takes away from the game experience please solve this issue for the game is frustrating to deal with without audio

I have the same prob i took of all sounds so i am playing normal music on pc

Might be good to know what kind of systems people are using having this problem. I'm not experiencing it on a quad core processor, but the game overall sure is taxing it, more than even some of the most recent games on the market.

Duo core with4 GB RAM and a half-decent GFX card - an NVIDIA Quadro of some kind, in an old M4400. Also getting lag in the sound, unless absolutely nothing else is running (which is never the case).

It is pretty music, nevertheless.
