Im not using the windows drivers but that does not matter because the game now works!. I think it may have been my antivirus but not sure it may have been other game that fixed it. I was having the same trouble with a game i just bought from steam called planet centauri. In the bug thread i said there were issues with antivirus not letting the game starting which was not my issue but hey cant hurt to try right? I'm not sure what i did that made it work but something did and now both games now work fine.
