Are you willing to post PC specs? If you do, be sure to list all graphics devices and driver versions. If there's an integrated GPU with an outdated/bugged driver and an Nvidia expansion card, you could get some graphics errors as it has been known that the Nvidia drivers will default to using the integrated graphics for OpenGL. (No idea why. Nvidia has best OpenGL support out there for Windows.) You can typically enable/disable this in the Nvidia driver options.

It may be a case of a bug in the most recent drivers, too. Sometimes trying out the beta drivers will fix an issue when the bug has already been reported.

In the case of hardware failure, if your system is only 3 months old, you might still be under warranty. Once hardware failures start, they only get worse, and generally fairly quickly.

Leaving this to loftar, but...

Sure you can. I believe in you.

What appears to be the same problem was fixed in this thread by using 64-bit Java instead of 32-bit. It might be that the 32-bit OpenGL driver is buggy. Since the error mode is the same, I'm assuming you're using the same or a very similar GPU.

Greetings! I pray you and your families are doing well.

I am replying to this post as I am experiencing a similar bug (I think?). To be specific, the bug I am experiencing is the complete loss of character interaction and movement in the world. I can open my inventory and equipment UIs, sift through the build/craft UIs but am unable to hearth travel or do any actions. It is intermittent at times but in the span of an hour it can occur several times with the only remedy being the complete closing of the application and rebooting Hafen. I have read through this forum post, the Can't move, and the Can't move my character forum post.

I have conducted a click debug test which will be shown below:

I have checked and I am running and have java 64bit installed as well as having the updated drivers (Radeon 20.4.1). I am at a bit of a loss here since even using the Ender or Amber clients I experience the same bug, any help would be greatly appreciated. Below is a more detailed list of my computers specs:

Do you have correct version of java? Make sure you have the correct 32x or 64x bit version.

I had something similar happen on a laptop that had both an integrated Intel graphics chipset and an Nividia graphics card. Going into the drivers and disabling the inferior Intel integrated Shiite fixed the problem. Check the hardware- If the two graphics cards are trying to run at the same time that could be the issue.

I had some glitch not long ago that prevented me from opening a stockpile or properly unequipping my pickaxe. I simply closed the client and reopened it, everything worked and my pickaxe was on my cursor.

Always make sure you post software information, too--operating system, Java, driver numbers.

I've heard there's some issues with a recent Windows update. You might need to roll this back or reinstall it. Also, check to see if there have been any other recent driver updates. Try rolling those back to the previous version to see if it fixes the problem.

You mention a water cooling system. Overclocked any? If so, there may be hardware failures.

Please clarify. It sounds like it's not just the ability to click in the main game view that you lose, but also other interactions. Are you able to activate any action in the lower-right-hand menu? Are you able to click items in your inventory to move them around or interact with them?

If not, it sounds like you're rather having some sort of network issue, where your client simply loses its connection to the server. I'd look into your network router if that is the case.

I am only moderately knowledgeable with computers, a novice at best. From what I can gather, my system type is running the 64-bit operating system, OS is Windows10: build 18362.720. I am using Java 64bit straight from their website: jre-8u251-windows-x64.exe (java installation name), I am unsure what you mean about "driver numbers". If you are inquiring about my graphics card version number its 26.20.15029.20013, which was last updated 01APR2020.

I am unsure if this issue is tied to my OS. How far back do you recommend I go, personally would rather not have to reinstalling windows.

I had a friend build this computer for me back in 2013, I am unsure if he overclocked anything. Is there a way to diagnose which hardware failed if this is the case?

Just started playing some time ago and had the incident again. To clarify, I am able to open up my bag, equipment menu, character sheet, basically I can open and move through all the menus on the lower right corner of the game. What I cannot do is build, craft, or interact with any of the items in my inventory, equipment menu, or make buildings/craftable items.

Do you have any recommendations as to what I should check or troubleshoot?

In all, I enjoy the game greatly and applaud you for the work you and you team has done. Issues and incidents aside, I continue to play however inconvenient it is to reboot the client has no affect on how great I think this game is, bravo!
