Until then, yeah, this could definitely use a fix, I think.

Also, make hive radius much smaller. If all it can speed up is 6/hour, 50 max crops in one go (assuming stored charges), then no point of having a larger radius. Means possibly less control.

i have the crops spread out...
and i still get q10 wax

What I mean is instead of growing a 10x10 field of carrots and 10x10 field of flax, split them up so you have 5x5, 5x5, 5x5, 5x5 so one hive is covering both carrots and flax. (Need to be smaller than that, I think, but it's the general idea.) I'm not entirely sure it will work properly, though, given the growth rates of carrots and flax along with the radius of the hive unless you spread your fields out.

I was thinking more granular in section size than that, but as I said with the size of the coverage area per beehive, I'm not sure how effective my strategy will be. I don't run large enough farms to do extensive testing on the idea.

Another idea is rotating the hives around. I'm not sure if it will fix the problem or just make wax production worse.

Another thought: if the time between "feedings" of the hive is longer than the time to reset the product (the recent bug fix), then it would keep wax at q10. With the two changes combined: crops being on a "time field" instead of quality, and the beehive exploit fix, it could combine to this problem. However, we have a couple of posts on this, so I might be barking up the wrong tree.

Wax Q10 in a field

Postby Aethyr » Tue Feb 14, 2017 10:12 pm

I've build 3-4 beehives in my filed. Until a week ago, I could harvest wax Q>10. Today I only found Q10 wax. The field is full of crops at different stages

Yes, sorry, I can not search for "wax", minimum of 4 letters

Yeah. I had to search for "beehive" and then "hive." Have to outsmart the system sometimes. ;)

Same here. Q10 wax on Q20+ beehive covering a large Q40+ carrot field.
