At this point, caves won't be dark, or at least there has been no indication of this. I don't think loftar is in position to code this into the server yet as it's not a trivial addition (assuming they even want to add it). It has only come up in the cave darkness discussion in C&I that I know of.

Suppose someone has 100 hats and gets the advantage of 100 * 1k = 100k LP. Personally, it does not bother me, because this game is not RTS. But specifically, you can worry about the fact that you are not able to devote the game 24 hours a day and 7 days a week; that's your right.

That there does sound like a bug. From what I was reading from everyone else, it is only a one time thing, but maybe you're right. I don't screw with hats, so I can't confirm or debunk this bug.
