Help! Claim is broken!

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time...

I will ask him what happened when he logs back on to discord, but is this truely some sort of intended gameplay?
This is definitely the sort of thing that is going to cause most if not all of us to quit. Nobody want to re-start the credo quests on new chars or have to cross the ocean to start over again. especially since are are all right next to each other alive and well, but simply cant move because of this broken claim we made.

Just out of curiosity, why are you unable to move? Did you get a visitor debuff somehow?

Poor opsec can cause problems. That is a feature of life, not of the game. It is not obvious that all problems you can create for yourself can be built away by us. Whether or not this is "intended gameplay" is somewhat irrelevant. The more important question is: Which mechanic would you like to see changed? How should this have been avoided?

There are several ways you could have avoided it.

walls are not constructed(3 more days and we would have move enough dirt for the walls to be built). When you take a step it says "you are unable to move" when you login you get "your postion in the world is no longer available. respawn at hearthfire?" which is claimed land(our claim) but we have no permissions to it somehow.

the main problem here in my eyes is that somebody else can claim your hearthfire. I could be the best player on the server that has the best skills and gear that could kill anyone or thing.... but if somebody else has claim of my hearthfire, my charater is disabled forever.... possibly by a noob that just got yeomanry.

I feel like thats really broken.

Also, its pretty dumb that a claim can be stolen, but thats my opinion. The 4 day timegate isnt even long enough for those who go to school to inspect if something happened that would need the user to re-claim.

I think you must have read that wrong. There exists no such error message in the game.

Claims can be transferred. A consequence thereof is that they can be stolen. They can, however, not be stolen if the owner makes sure to keep his claim, which he can. Should he lose the bond, he can issue a new one while he is still owner of the claim.

There is no error message in the server to the effect that "you are unable to move". Which character is this on? What is the actual error message you get? Have you turned on criminal actions to trespass away from the claim?

turn criminal acts on to be able to move, if you have no walls you should be able to walk off the claim, to turn criminal acts on it's adventure > toggles > criminal acts, if you do have walls and are truly trapped then you're just going to have to break your hearthfire, the study time on a bond is fair, your friend made a mistake in not having it on him.
