This did not occur on the NE continent, nor did it occur on Feb 9, 2020. Not a newb here and honestly... you're not a dev so your opinion doesn't mean too mucking fuch imho. Feel free to take your irrelevant bleatings and move on.

If there is a bug here, there's no evidence of it, only that a dock has gone missing. If a rollback was responsible, loftar usually pops in and says "sorry" or something, but this didn't occur at a time of a rollback. If there's another issue,of a dock just randomly disappearing somewhere, then someone might be able to corroborate with a similar story. Until then, if there is a bug, it's a one off thing and you just had the bad misfortune of being the one in whatever of losing the dock. Otherwise, the presented assumption of "it was smashed and you can't see the scents" is the most correct answer.

If you don't agree with what is presented as the likely answer, that's fine. Don't take it out on the people that are trying to give you the answer you seek.

edit:
Morrighan wrote:I highly doubt that someone wandered by and smashed it to bits and didn't leave a single scent. I was also under the impression that jorb and loftar would look at this post and comment on it because this is a bug report.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. If other players have the best or correct information, is there a need for comment from a dev?

2nd edit: I've PM jorb about this just to clarify the matter. Also, edited first part of my post to be a bit more legible. (I hadn't had my morning coffee yet.)

As Vatas has pointed out there was a previous bug/glitch occurrence where docks disappeared when seasons changed from Fall to Winter so there is precedence that this is most likely the result of a bug. This happened in a very quiet location with both active vclaim and pclaim covering the area and no scents shown. An older snekka and knarr were completely untouched. The old dock and the new snekka were missing. There was certainly chatter in the HH public chat about other's docks and things missing at that time, if they choose not to come forward and say anything on the forums, I can't make them.

That is a lot of wasted time and wasted tar sticks.

Enjoyment2's post was assumptive, dismissive and disrespectful. I don't know why others are getting bent out of shape about me responding to it.

well, we have rules here on forum... and one of the first is "use search before bug-reporting"
and once you use search - you can easily find this topic with this quote:
loftar wrote:
delsus wrote:I couldn't connect for 5 days for IRL reasons, then I am back and with the rollback I lost my new Snekkja that I paid real money to get. I would like to get it back.

If you hadn't used it for days prior to the rollback, it wouldn't have been affected to begin with.

so there is a clear answer to your demand. as well as "we fixed knarr disappearing issues" but you say you that devs SHOULD take response in specific your thread just because you posted it (by fault) in bug section? cool. maybe all the 30-40 ppl, who were also experienced the loss of their docks should create separate bug-reports and wait for devs to personally say they have nothing to do with it? or they should answer only you, because what?

Enjoyment2, what you are posting has nothing to do with the issue I am trying to have addressed here. I've been a member of this forum longer than you. I am certainly aware of and working well within the rules of this forum. I searched and did not find that anyone else had created a bug report about the disappearing docks, so here we are. I don't presume to speak for Dev's. I don't believe you should either.

Hard to tell after the fact. Docks can be smashed, and that sounds like the most likely explanation. Not much we could do to debug this further, I'm afraid.

Thank you for your reply Jorb. I posted here within what I estimate was 12-24 hours after it happened because I had seen it there the day before. I'll be looking forward to the day that docks won't be so easily mashed.
