Ore Nodes have strange disparity (bug or feature?)

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time...

10 wax is trivial for even solo players if you actually leave your base. Multiple of my villagers were bringing in 10-15 wax per day on day 2 of the world.

Not to mention that you had a full week grace period to get it this world due to the mine pyres.

If all you do is running around bogs and collect candleberries - yeah, maybe... But we had to rebuild our base from the scratch, because some agressive russian clan in the north destroyed our claim, so we were thrown back in development for at least 3-4 days. After that we had to wait for another 2 days for leather, then spend 3 days leveling territory and building the palisade. 10-15 wax per day seems ridiculous. You have to live near 3-4 different swamps that noone else contests, gl with that.
Also, we are just 3 people. And I spent 4 days in the mines digging for 12 hours a day just to find out that there is no copper whatsoever. That's why i'm feeling irritated. Just a bad start of the server.

I'll explain. I was digging for 3 straight days in the cave above my base. And every ore that I found was casseterite. Nothing else. Not even a slightest sign of any other ore. 1km to the west - not a single sign of ANY ore at all. Screenshot #1

, every white flag is a casseterite node.
However, when I decided to try and check another cave that was around 1 km below our base... I found lead. Lots of lead... And nothing except for it. It seemed like every 3rd stone node is a lead node. Screenshot #2 [

, every cyan flag is a lead node.
I don't recall such desparity in previous playthroughs (I have skipped the previous world, so I don't know how it was then. so maybe it was updated and I just missed the patchnote that explains that?).
After digging for 4 straight days I now understand that I have to actually go 2-3km away from my base just to see if any copper has spawned there, because in every direction from my base for at least 1km away there is either only casseterite, or no ore at all... Am I missing something, or am I just so insanely unlucky?

You aren't alone I have also encountered the same phenomena, and until the devs say otherwise there is no way to tell if its intended or not, but it does mean you may need many more mineholes than you thought you would.
Extremely popular.

u have a false perception. collecting the wax for my mine hole was the most unfun thing about the game
